Flying High Recipient-Kim-Gibbs-2005
Kim Gibbs was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where she spent her summers as a lifeguard and her winters as a gymnast. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Communication from Utah State University in 1978 and immediately put it to good use selling Volkswagens. A year later, she married her best friend and started a family. She spent the next eight years playing catch, riding bikes, and thoroughly enjoying her role as a stay-at-home mom, raising three incredible children.
She gradually eased her way back into work, first as a Video Supply Representative for Albertson’s grocery store for a 10-year period, and later as the Membership Director for the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce for three years.
At the age of 40, she got the itch to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a motivational speaker and trainer. She got herself a mentor, a program, and a good opening joke, and has been speaking across the states of Montana and Idaho ever since.
She has been a member of MBN for seven years, serving as its President in 2002-2003. She is currently the copywriter for Rocky Mountain Rider horse magazine, loves to ride horses, play golf, and has just finished writing her first book on developing a positive perspective.
